Experienced

Raptive is looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer to join our Community engineering team and help elevate the quality and stability of the platforms we build for creators. You’ll work closely with both frontend and mobile engineers to ensure every release is well-tested, user-friendly, and production-ready.

This role blends hands-on manual testing with strategic test planning, making it ideal for someone who thrives on detail, lives for catching edge cases, and loves collaborating with developers and automation engineers to improve the test coverage and quality across the stack.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and execute manual testing for new features across our web platform and React Native mobile app
  • Partner closely with developers to understand feature intent and deliver meaningful test coverage
  • Collaborate with our automation engineer to define and evolve the test strategy and ensure consistent, scalable test practices
  • Help identify test gaps and implement regression testing processes across products
  • Review Figma designs and user stories to identify test cases early in the dev cycle
  • Track and triage bugs, document test results, and advocate for quality throughout the SDLC
  • Assist in maintaining test documentation and improving QA-related tooling and workflows

The skills and experience you bring to the job:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing of web and/or mobile applications
  • Strong familiarity with cross-browser testing, responsive design validation, and device testing (especially iOS/Android)
  • Experience writing test plans, test cases, and exploratory test sessions
  • Solid understanding of agile development practices and working in cross-functional teams
  • A working knowledge of how to partner with engineers to integrate automation into the release pipeline
  • Great communication skills and an eye for detail—able to spot bugs and inconsistencies others miss

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Currents
  • Exposure CI/CD workflows, Jira, and test case management tools
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing (e.g., screen readers, contrast validation)
  • Experience with React, Ember, Ruby on Rails, or React Native projects
  • Customer-obsessed and care deeply about how features perform in real-world use
  • Curious and hands-on, always exploring edge cases and learning from behavior
  • Empathetic and collaborative, working closely with engineering, design, and product
  • Organized and proactive, keeping quality top of mind throughout the sprint
  • Quality-driven, balancing speed with sustainable QA practices
