Raptive is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Finance team!

Reporting to the SVP, Finance & Controller, the Assistant Controller will play a critical role in overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance during an exciting period of growth.

This is a full-time remote position.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
  • Ensure GL integrity and key account reconciliations; proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, providing financial forecasts, and identifying potential variances.
  • Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data and compliance with policies
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting
  • Coordinate with external auditors, preparing schedules, documentation, and providing explanations.
  • Work with tax advisors to manage tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Manage Finance ERP systems (Dynamics Business Central, Placement.IO, Concur), working closely with IT and external vendors on upgrades, enhancements, and integration improvements.
  • Support Creator payment operations, addressing and resolving finance-related inquiries
  • Oversee accounting for new business initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure proper setup and treatment.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to scale and streamline accounting functions
  • Stay up to date on accounting and regulatory changes, providing guidance on their impact to the business

The skills and experience you bring to the job:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, including public accounting and/or corporate accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
  • Hands-on experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and working with external auditors
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics, PIO/Placements.IO, Concur) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Sigma, Redash, Salesforce and/or Snowflake a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Great interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels
  • Driven, confident individual who is comfortable working independently while actively seeking guidance when necessary
  • AdTech or digital media experience preferred

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$170,000. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation that isn’t included in the posted range.
