VP, Business Development

Remote - Full Time

Raptive is seeking a dynamic, results-driven VP of Business Development to lead the team responsible for engaging and acquiring new creators.

The VP of Business Development will both oversee the team responsible for and directly contribute to Raptive’s new business goals. Ideal candidates are seasoned managers who lead by example and thrive on fostering success for their direct reports and clients. They are digital media experts who are equally skilled at cultivating prospective customer relationships and leveraging metrics to drive Raptive’s creator acquisition process with operational rigor.

This is a critical leadership role on a high-performing team, reporting to the EVP of Creator Growth.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and achieve Raptive’s new creator acquisition targets
  • Set strategy to engage and acquire creators across a variety of verticals and cohorts
  • Lead, recruit and inspire a team of exceptional sales and business development talent
  • Create, automate and improve processes that accelerate sales and new business growth
  • Synthesize and effectively communicate complex creator economy trends, digital advertising concepts, and industry themes to frame the value of Raptive’s product and services
  • Support the team to nurture and close a pipeline of creator relationships and achieve revenue goals 
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Raptive’s addressable market
  • Partner with Marketing to craft key messaging points, generate demand and execute growth tactics
  • Forecast, track and measure sales KPIs using CRM and reporting to manage up to the Raptive executive team
  • Represent the voice of the customer in feature development prioritization and product roadmap planning
  • Contribute to and attend industry events and thought leadership forums

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the job:

  • 12+ years of experience developing and leading high-performance sales and business development teams
  • 15+ years in digital media, the creator economy and/or adtech; network of creator connections a plus
  • Track record of consistently exceeding new business and revenue targets using a high-trust, consultative sales approach
  • Experience leading acquisition teams through high-growth periods
  • History selling to small businesses or solopreneurs
  • Deep knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem and creator economy
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities 
  • Team player with a growth mindset and drive to win
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is $150,000-$220,000. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities.
