As VP of Product, Community Platform, you will drive the product strategy, execution, and success of this initiative. You’ll lead a small, high-performing team, working closely with engineering and design to bring this vision to life. This is a startup within a successful company.  The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of online community building, user engagement, and the open and social web ecosystems—plus the entrepreneurial mindset to build something big.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define and drive a compelling product vision for the community platform, ensuring it delivers value for users and creators in our network.
  • Shape and scale a high-performing product team, collaborating closely with engineering and design to bring this vision to life.
  • Envision and implement features that transform passive audiences into vibrant communities—fostering meaningful interactions, collaboration, and a sense of belonging.
  • Leverage deep data insights to refine user experience, optimize participation, and drive sustainable growth—while balancing qualitative community health with quantitative success metrics.

The skills and experience you bring to the job:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or technical degree preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in product management, with a track record of success in community-driven platforms.
  • Experience in a fast-moving, distributed environment.
  • Deep knowledge of community platforms, user engagement strategies, and the open/social web ecosystems.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Passion for innovation, community building, and the open web.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000-$250,000. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation that isn’t included in the posted range.
